now wat i wanna do is step 2 n dats fix the quality (n i know its possible) but idk how if ya can teach me how to clean up the filtery or watery sound we can all start makin perfect pellas. u said in my thread to look it up its wit audacity but i couldnt find it. why not just point me to it like drop a link for me
If I had the link Id have mentioned it.
I think I saw it on Youtube once upon a time, its something to do with removing
information from the file. So the quiet bits have a lower priority in the quality
reduction process and can sometimes be lost.
Im not an Audacity user so cant be more specific im afraid.
Thats very good, I wouldnt say its useable but its not far of.
A 'gate' might get rid of some of the artifacts between the vocals and a Lo pass shelf EQ may help the the vocal sound a little.
Theres 1 or 2 out there already.
'Knockout' being the most well known.
Check out a couple and see if you think you can make any improvements on them.
As always, results are usually limited.

i have just looked at them i cn phase out the fuzzing sound a little bit mre but thats about it
Really sorry mate, full acapellas cannot be posted in the forums.
I got told off for doing exactly the same thing with a DIY I created when I was new.
Please feel free to post like a 20sec sample.
Re the pella. That was an amazing job of removing the instruments, very impressive.
Unfortunately whats left still sounds like 16kbps MP3 and lots of artifacts remain.
Still one of the best attempts ive heard.
Keep on at it!
there are many methods that may help to remove the instrumentation (enough to make the song mixable, anyway) but without an instrumental, or at least a 5.1 mix, 99% of songs won't get far.
for example, type my username into the acapella search and compare the rock acapellas to the rap acapellas. the few clean rock acapellas i made came from the center channel of a 5.1 mix (i.e. the Clapton acapellas)
the only song i know of that you can get a good acapella out of with just the original stereo recording is Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze"
