The program really looked a lot like Adobe audition. I had a friend of mine/ producer/ sound engineer. use this program a long time ago and he helped me extract a Guitar chord out of a melody with this program .... ( he did it really quickly and I don't remember what was going on or what he did exactly)-- (the guy is a wizard with programs) So, i know that it is possible to extract something, somehow , with adobe...
To make sure that i'am not a total jack #ss... i'am gonna test this with my friend and see what we can come up with..... I invite every body to do the same thing...
Maybe something good comes of this..
Good luck..

Its one of those tutorials you'll never forget. Ive taken the vocals for 52 songs in the last 4 hours All for my DJ Set tomorrow night!! THANKS SO MUCH!! xD
Why would the guy doing the video say he has "Adobe Audition open" if he was using Cool Edit? Not many people would make that mistake if releasing a tutorial like this out into the 'wild'... especially with all the pedantic people on the net!
hmmm, just tried this myself, diden't have an instrumental of the track i was testing on, so tried to cut out a slice from the song, dident work... pretty hard getting a good result in my opinion

Cool Edit Pro was acquired by Adobe from Syntrillium...and renamed Adobe Audition. They have the same basic layout and features. The newer versions of Audition offer a few new changes, but it is still the same basic layout and design of the older Cool Edit program. You can usually pick up a copy of Cool Edit Pro by googling it and have the same features of Audition without spending all of that coin.
